Finnish author Lottie Saahko’s debut novel in English “Lumi and the Wolf” is coming out on September 24th. This moving and fast-paced book tells the tale of an autistic girl who befriends and saves an endangered wolf. The protagonist, Lumi, keeps a “forest diary” in the novel, a creative and meditative habit of Saahko’s, which she explores in her celebrated journaling workshops.
The Forest Diary Workshop is suitable for participants aged 5 years and above and arts materials are provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult (adults accompanying children are included in the ticket price).

Celebrate National Poetry Day with a selection of performers both celebrated and up and coming.

From 3rd to 29th October, write and read a 500 to 700 word supernatural story in our very own Spooky Book Nook.
Book a slot to read and we will video your performance, edit it and make it available to you via a private link. The best three stories will be featured on this website (with your permission). The very best of them will be awarded a £25 Best of Times voucher to use on any books in-store.
